About the Tumbl Trak

The Tumbl Trak began as a training tool for gymnasts and cheerleaders – demanding strength, safety, and durability from every component. Those same qualities have made it invaluable in therapeutic environments. Its 5-foot wide trampoline bed, set just 21 inches high, creates a forgiving surface that challenges balance and coordination while keeping children engaged.

Unlike smaller rebounders, the Tumbl Trak offers a long, stable track for walking, crawling, and sequencing activities. Therapists use it for bouncing, weight shift activities, gait training and timing, while children experience the deep proprioceptive and vestibular input that sustains participation. Because it feels like play, even reluctant clients are motivated to move.

Available in lengths from 10 to 60 feet, the Tumbl Trak adapts to facilities of all sizes. Heavy-duty steel construction, padded spring covers, and professional-grade vinyl make it durable enough for daily clinical use – an investment designed to perform for years.

Benefits of the Tumbl Trak

The dynamic surface safely challenges balance reactions while building confidence through successful repetitions. Clients progress systematically from fully supported to independent movement, developing the postural control needed for daily activities.

The consistent bounce pattern helps clients develop timing, sequencing, and bilateral coordination through repetition that feels like play. The linear design reinforces the reciprocal movement patterns essential for walking and running.

The Tumbl Trak’s responsive surface engages core, legs, and postural muscles simultaneously through natural bouncing patterns. Clients build functional strength while having fun, leading to better compliance and faster progress toward their goals.

Created by Tumbl Trak innovator Doug Davis

Doug Davis, Tumbl Trak’s founder, pioneered safer, smarter training for gymnasts. That same innovation now strengthens therapy and education programs everywhere – helping professionals create safe, engaging environments where children can build skills and confidence.

FAQs about the Tumbl Trak

What client populations benefit most from the Tumbl Trak?

The Tumbl Trak serves children with diverse developmental and sensory needs, from those working on early walking skills to those needing intensive proprioceptive input. It’s particularly effective for clients who benefit from controlled vestibular input, gait training, or those with gravitational insecurity. The equipment adapts to support various therapeutic goals across motor, sensory, and coordination challenges. Age ranges typically span from early walkers through adolescence.

What Tumbl Trak length is best for our school or clinic?

The majority of clinics use 10-, 15-, or 20-ft Tumbl Traks. These lengths balance space and versatility, especially when placed along a wall. Every setup should include a way for children to get on – Tumbl Trak Steps are ideal – a safe landing space such as a Pit Pillow or Dismount Mat at the far end.

Not sure which size is best for your specific space and therapy programs? Our equipment specialists are happy to discuss your facility’s layout and help you choose the perfect fit – just give us a call at 1-800-331-4362 or contact us online.

What's a clinic's return on investment for a Tumbl Trak?

Beyond clinical outcomes, the Tumbl Trak often becomes a marketing differentiator and retention tool. Families frequently seek out facilities that offer this specialized equipment, driving referrals and retention. The durability means 10+ years of service is common, making the per-session cost minimal. Many facilities find it enables higher reimbursement rates for specialized interventions.

How easy is the Tumbl Trak to maintain?

The frame and springs require minimal upkeep. Pads and vinyl can be wiped clean between sessions to meet infection-control standards. Replacement parts are available if needed, but most facilities find maintenance demands to be very low.

Does the Tumbl Trak hold up under high-volume use?

Yes. The heavy-duty steel frame, 6-inch coil springs, and professional-grade vinyl padding are built for continuous daily use. Many clinics report their Tumbl Trak still performing reliably after years of back-to-back sessions.

How does the Tumbl Trak ship, and will we need special equipment to unload it?

Tumbl Traks ship by motor freight in several manageable pieces and boxes that are strapped to a pallet. Although the system is large once assembled, each component (rails, legs, springs, pads) is lightweight enough to lift off the truck individually. We suggest having 2–3 staff members ready to unload. This way your team can move the shipment directly into your facility without needing forklifts or special equipment.

Can we really assemble the Tumbl Trak ourselves without professional installation?

Yes! The Tumbl Trak is designed for straightforward assembly by your own team. Two people can complete the setup using the included spring tool and clear instructions. A 10-foot Tumbl Trak typically takes about an hour to assemble, while a 30-foot model takes approximately 2-3 hours. Most of this time is spent attaching the springs to create the perfect bounce surface. The frame goes together quickly with simple connections, and we provide a video tutorial to guide you through each step.
