About the Movement Rings

What sets our Movement Rings apart is how simple they are to use. The clips open and close easily—no complicated setup or tools needed. The straps come in different colors at each adjustment point, so you can quickly match both rings to the same height. This means less fussing with equipment and more time for what matters: helping your child build strength and confidence.

Our Movement Rings are sized just right at 7.5 inches across, with a textured surface that helps kids hold on without slipping. They’re sized for small hands to grip comfortably and confidently. The surface wipes clean easily, standing up to daily use whether at home or in the clinic.

These rings do more than just build arm strength. Kids use them to work on using both hands together, planning their movements, and building the core stability they need for sitting and moving through their day. Remove the straps from the rings and use them to hang or suspend other equipment. Best of all, everything packs up small enough to fit in a therapy bag or car trunk, so practice doesn’t have to stop when you leave the clinic.

Benefits of the Movement Rings

Whether hanging still or swinging gently, rings challenge kids to control their body in space. This builds the balance reactions and core strength needed for sitting at school, riding a bike, or simply moving confidently through their day.

Rings teach kids to use both hands together – a skill they need for everything from tying shoes to catching a ball. As children reach for both rings, transfer toys between hands while hanging, or practice swinging, they’re building the coordination that makes daily tasks easier.

Hanging from rings gives kids deep pressure they crave while building real strength in their hands, arms, and belly muscles. Start with just a few seconds of hanging and watch as your child works up to longer holds, gaining the strength they need for playground monkey bars, handwriting, and getting dressed independently.

FAQs about Movement Rings

What ages can use Movement Rings?

Our Movement Rings work great for kids from age 3 all the way through teens, with a 150-pound weight limit that accommodates most middle schoolers and even some adults. The grippy surface helps younger kids hold on, while the strong construction means older kids and teens can use them for serious strength training. You can adjust the height for any age or ability level.

Can my child help set these up?

We would not recommend suggesting children set these up. The carabiners and webbing require an adult ensuring that the gate has been properly closed before use.

How are Movement Rings different from playground rings?

These rings have a special textured surface that’s easier for kids to hold than smooth playground rings. Plus, you can adjust them much lower than playground height, perfect for kids just starting to build strength. They’re also easy to clean and take with you.

My child needs sensory input more than strength training. Would these still help?

Yes! Many kids use hanging as a calming activity. The deep pressure from hanging helps organize the nervous system. Some children hang when they need to calm down, making these rings a sensory tool as much as exercise equipment.
